The Colliery Spoil Biodiversity Initiative offers a wide range of services to both the public and private sectors. Such services include:

  • Invertebrate surveys and invertebrate site assessments
  • Specialist advice regarding invertebrate conservation
  • Specialist advice regarding the conservation and management of colliery spoil tips (and other brownfield habitats)
  • Talks and guided walks for local interest groups
  • Ecological training courses on various subjects including brownfield habitats, invertebrate survey techniques, bumblebee identification, solitary bee identification…and others.
